A Web Feed folder is used to contain any resources that you wish to be able to subscribe to. For example, you may create a podcast mp3 file, which you can then put into a Web Feed folder. Subscribing to a Web Feed will set up the user's computer ready to either automatically download or create a link to any new/updated content. For more information about Web Feeds, click here
You can either create a new Web Feed folder, or change a current folder into a Web Feed folder:
Creating a new Web Feed folder:
1 Click the add folder icon ![]()
2 Enter a label for the folder
3 Enter a description of the folder (optional - this will appear when you hover over the folder icon)
4 Tick the 'Display as feed (RSS/Atom) box
5 Click the 'Add folder' button
Changing a current folder into a Web Feed folder:
1 Click on the folder you wish to change
2 Click the edit folder icon ![]()
3 Change the label for the folder (optional)
4 Enter a description of the folder (optional -this will appear when you hover over the folder icon)
5 Tick the 'Display as feed (RSS/Atom box)
6 Click the 'update folder' button
You will see that the folder you have just created has the RSS and Atom icons next to it.
Please note: it is not possible to create subfolders under a Web Feed folder, or to make a folder that has subfolders into a Web Feed folder.
