The upper/left hand section of the Resources page is assigned to the control and manipulation of the folders you create.
In order for a resource to be subscribed to via a Web Feed (Podcast), it needs to be in a Wed Feed folder (How do I create a Web Feed Folder?)
The folders will appear above the resources, or to the left of the resources, depending on the view selected.
There are two different display views of your ‘My Resources’:
There are 2 different ways to adjust your display view.
1. Click on My Settings in the My Panel
2. Click on My Preferences
3. Underneath 'Resources Display', select Vertical for the vertical display view or Horizontal for the horizontal view by clicking in the radio box.
4. Click Save at the bottom of the page.
These folders can be used to manage and organise your resources. The view shows the folders that are associated with your current group.
The uppermost, or root directory for the group is a hyperlink displayed simply as it's name. Any directories below this level, known as sub-directories are displayed in order below and are represented by a folder icon
, with their respective hyperlink and name shown offset slightly to the right.
The currently selected folder and it's hyperlink are displayed in bold, with the folder icon showing as open
. You will find that the contents of the selected folder are on display in the lower section of the screen, the 'Resources' section.
Managing Folders
In the top right-hand corner of the Folders section you will see a small panel with some or all of the following buttons. Which of these are visable at any given time will depend on the currently selected folder.
Add's a new directory below the currently selected folder.
Sets the order of folders as per user specification.
Edit the currently selected folder (not available at root directory level)
Move the currently selected folder (not available at root directory level)
Deletes the currently selected folder
