Selecting this option will automatically create a forum that can be only accessed by those users that are assigned to a Task (Assignees). The ‘Task Forum’ is accessed by Assignees via the link to the ‘Task’ in their My Panel > My Tasks.
Points to remember:
If selecting a start date, the task will not be visible to the selected members until that date.
If no end date is chosen, the task will remain visible in the selected members Tasks lists.
Leaving the task in the status of offline will mean that it is not visible to any of the selected members.
If no start or end date is chosen, and the status is set to ‘open’, the task will be accessible to all ‘Assignees’ until it is manually closed or completed.
When selecting assignees to allocate the task too, you can select the all option to select all in the list or you can click on the individual assignee from the list. To select more than one assignee but not all, hold down the ctrl key on your keyboard whilst selecting the assignee.
If the task assignee has an ePortfolio, a folder for the task will automatically be created within their My Resources. The assignees can then put files and documents in the folder that are related to the task. These can include downloads, custom pages, blogs and forums.
