Welcome to Kelsale Church of England Primary School
Kelsale Church of England Voluntary Controlled Primary School was built in 1962 and currently has 132 children on roll (aged 4-11 years). It is well placed in the picturesque village of Kelsale-cum-Carlton and benefits from a large field, an adventure playground, a school vegetable garden and an outdoor swimming pool. We currently have 5 classrooms, a hall and a kitchen in which the school meals are prepared. The fifth classroom was completed in 2012 to accommodate Year 5 and 6 pupils for the first time. A further extension to include an additional classroom and more office space is scheduled for completion in July 2015.
We are a happy, caring and
successful school. Parents, staff and governors work together to produce a
well-resourced and stimulating environment where children feel safe, secure,
valued and confident.
Within the Christian ethos of the
school, children are encouraged to be kind and courteous, to develop their self
respect and to demonstrate care and respect for each other and the environment
We believe in a ‘culture of
achievement’ in which all children and staff work towards reaching the highest
standards possible. We provide pupils with extra support when necessary and challenge
all pupils in order for them to reach their full potential. We celebrate and
share the successes of all our children.
Kelsale is a place…
- Of learning where pupils can develop self confidence and
independence to enable them to grow to their fullest extent socially,
emotionally, intellectually, creatively, morally, physically and spiritually.
- Of Christian values, reflecting
the Christian understanding of the love of God and of one another, where
children develop a feeling of mutual care and respect for themselves, others
and the environment.
- Of partnership between staff, pupils, parents, governors, the church
and the community.
