What we believe
We at church believe in a message of good news about God's forgiveness for the bad things we do. We call the bad things sin.
None of us are perfect and just like when you have to say sorry to friends when you have been unkind, we say sorry to God as well.
God sent his son Jesus into the world to tell us this good news. He taught great things and performed miracles to prove he was really God's son and this is all recorded in the bible for us to read.
Jesus' greatest act was to die on a cross to take the punishment instead of us for the bad things we do.
Jesus rose from the dead to show us that our sins are really forgiven. He also did this to show believers that they will have life after they have died in a place we call heaven.
What we do
On the first Sunday of every month, we run special Family Services. This is a service where you can bring your whole family even the little ones. We sing children's songs and say prayers and have a talk all about Jesus.
The Maresfield service is at 11.15am and before there is a chance for the grown up to have tea and cake and for the children to play together in Maresfield Village Hall from 10.30am.
Pulse is a youth clucb that you can go to when you are 10. It is on a Monday in the Village Hall from 7-8.30pm and we ask for a donation of £1 to help cover costs. At Pulse we play games, do crafts, cook and hear a little bit about Jesus. We even have a special weekend away each year.
Each year we have a Easter Club for those of you who are in Years 1- 6 at the school. This is a 3 day club in the second week of the Easter Holidays.
