The children have settled well into their classes and have had an exciting start to year 2. During the first week of school we had a visit from the Fire Service. They held an assembly and then we took part in workshops. The workshops were about keeping safe and what to do if there is a fire. The best bit was when we looked at a real fire engine. We went inside and pretended to attend a fire. Next we were really excited to use the hose and put out a fire.
On Thursday the 27th September we were visited by Samuel Pepys, who helped bring the Great Fire of London alive. It was great fun and interesting too!
