Wickhambrook School

Parent Teacher Association

Formed in June 1981, the PTA has raised money for many important extras, helping the school to offer a wide range of activities and equipment to our children.

WSPTA was very active during 2012.  We held two very popular discos for pupils, a tasty easter egg raffle, a hugely successful summer fete, a scrumptious tea and cake afternoon and a creative pottery painting morning for Christmas.

We have spent some cash too, and splashed out on a outdoor classroom sited on the school field, which gives an outdoor teaching space during the summer.

We also intend to purchase some more play equipment for the school field and have asked for the children’s views on what they would most like.

WSPTA have lots planned for 2013 too, but would always welcome ideas and suggestions from the wider school community.

All parents of children at the school are PTA members!!

So everyone is welcome to come to the committee meetings and get involved. It’s a good way to meet people and make new friends. It can be hard work (especially when there are few helpers), but there is a great deal of fun and a sense of achievement when we can provide some extra help to the school.
