In addition to the opportunities for informal communication between children and adults in the Boarding House, tutor meetings of staff and children take place within the routines of the Day School.
Children’s views about their lives as boarders are sought during Boarding House Meetings and Forums. These are led by the Housemaster and Deputy Housemasters. The forum is designed to give the children an opportunity to discuss any issues relating to their lives as boarders, to put their ideas forward for consideration and to raise any worries they may have.
There are also fortnightly meetings, throughout the term, which deal with Boarding House Routines, Staying Safe Issues and Anti-bullying talks. Children are invited to contribute to the agenda for Meetings and Forums, and minutes are taken and displayed on the noticeboard in the Boarding House.
Boarder surveys are conducted periodically to give the children the opportunity to express their views with regard to their lives as boarders.
